March 27, 2026, NAPLES, FL – Naples Shutter, Southwest Florida’s premier manufacturer of custom plantation shutters and hurricane protection, is proud to announce a donation of $2,200 to the Military Heritage Museum in Punta Gorda. For 45 years, Naples Shutter has been committed to serving the Southwest Florida community, and this year’s initiative carried a deeper personal significance for the entire team as they sought to celebrate the legacy of their late colleague.

“This donation is very close to our hearts,” said Brian Trecek, Co-Owner at Naples Shutter. “Robert Riggs was an integral part of the Naples Shutter family and a passionate advocate for the Military Heritage Museum. We can think of no better way to honor his memory and his service to our community than by supporting a mission he cared about so deeply. We are grateful to our customers for helping us turn our Veterans Day event into a meaningful tribute to a great man and all of our nation’s heroes.”

The $2,200 gift will support the Military Heritage Museum’s mission to honor the heritage of all military branches and all eras. The funds will assist in the preservation of the museum’s extensive collection of over 30,000 artifacts and support its educational programs and veteran services.

“We are moved by this generous gesture from the team at Naples Shutter,” said Isaac James, Executive Director at the Military Heritage Museum. “Robert was our Chief Volunteer for many years, and receiving this donation in his name is truly special. We miss him dearly and continue to keep his family in our thoughts. Contributions like these allow us to continue sharing the stories of sacrifice and service that define our country’s history.”

Naples Shutter continues to be a vocal advocate for veterans and local first responders, participating in charitable initiatives throughout the year to give back to the community that has supported the company since 1981.
